Out for a Stroll

Written By: admin - Dec• 26•11

There is a lot to consider when you are a new parent. One purchase that is often overlooked and treated as one size fits all kind of deal is baby strollers. That’s about as untrue as it can be. Make sure you get one that fits into your life and fulfills your needs. There is a lot to consider before you make a purchase.
The Standard Stroller
This is the baby stroller that you see most commonly. The child sits in a somewhat reclined position facing forward. These are great from infancy up to toddlerhood. They steer well and some of these can double as car seats and a well-designed standard stroller should satisfy most of your needs.
The Carriage Stroller
This is a more classic design in which the baby is allowed to lay flat, facing you and can be easily swaddled in blankets. The wide wheel base makes these a little harder to steer. Some of the more modern designs for carriage strollers are adjustable so that you can change both the footprint and the angle of repose for the child. Because these have a lot of room inside, your baby can have a bit more freedom but it’s a tradeoff for being well secured. If you have a particularly active child you may want to get something with straps and buckles as opposed to the classic, open carriage stroller.
Jogging Stroller
These baby jogging strollers are for the parent that wants to stay active and still have their baby with them. They are durable, made for multiple terrains and many of them can be converted from stroller to bike trailer carriage for the bike riding parents. These are usually more utilitarian and less fashionable than other umbrella strollers but they are safe and they do the job.
These are the three main types of baby strollers on the market and are really just the tip of the iceberg. Once you choose a category you can then decide on a style and then start to research each model to make sure that they are safe and have good reviews.

Proud Volunteer Mommy

Written By: admin - Oct• 29•11

Last week was Thomas Jefferson’s FALL PARTY. Each class has their party inside their room and there were some parents who volunteered to come early and prepare for the Fall Party. I am one of the volunteer, one of the good mommy there offered me a ride. She picked me up in our apartment and even dropped Ishi and I home.

My daughter was so proud that I was there helping with the party. I am also happy that I made her so happy.

We prepared for 15 minutes inside the classroom and held the party for less than an hour.

Everybody was as happy as I am.

I was assigned in “MONSTER MIX” activity

The kids are enjoying it.

I got to assist ISHI in one of the activity when some mommies arrived and helped me in my station

SAHMone Post Blogversary Giveaways

When SAHMone Speaks #1

“How do you get your child sleep/take nap during the day?”

Hello there everySAHM! First of all, it’s my first time here and it’s my first post in this site so please do LIKE and FOLLOW me :) This site is my diary as a mommy. I am going to post here my experiences  and everything what I have learned for the past five years and counting (if there’s any). I’m glad to join When SAHMone speak and share my thoughts!

As for the topic this week, I should say first that I am no longer giving my kids a nap. Why? Coz based on my experiences back when we were in the Philippines, my kids are sleeping so late when they are taking their nap and I am having a hard time waking them up in the morning for school. So for a change, I am not letting them nap in the afternoon then put them to bed early. But let me share to you my experiences on how I am putting convincing them to sleep in the afternoon. After their class and their lunch, I am asking them to come with me inside our bedroom. They already know that we are going to sleep because it’s our routine already. But there were times that they don’t wanna sleep so what I am doing is I am reading them a story even in the afternoon aside from the bedtime story. But this is not daily, coz there were also times that they are easy to put on bed too!

Hello world!
